Obituary

Abigail Edman, age 87, of Magnolia, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, February 7, 2015 at her home in Magnolia. She was born April 27, 1927 in Broken Bow, Oklahoma to Albert and Georgia Proctor Turnage. Ms. Edman was a retiree of Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia. She was a loving wife and caretaker, taking care of many local children over the years.

Ms. Edman was preceded in death by her parents; brother, J.C. Turnage and sister, Gertrude Huggins, and eight other siblings who passed away many years ago.

She is survived by her loving husband of sixty-two years, Clarence Edman of Magnolia, Arkansas; brother, Charles Edward Turnage of Lake Charles, Louisiana; Niece, Linda Jackson and nephew, Neil Turnage. Serving as pallbearers are Dal Dendy, Byron Thomason, Sim Bailey, Charles Clark, Herschel Hampton, and Harold Rogers. The family would like to extend a special thanks to LifeTouch Hospice and Katie Labit.

Graveside services will be held 2pm Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at the Shiloh Cemetery in Buckner, Arkansas with Rev. C.D. Miles officiating. Interment is under the direction A.O. Smith Funeral Home of Stamps. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Monday, February 9, 2015 at the funeral home in Stamps.
