Aletha "Kay" Williamson, age 87, of Stamps, Arkansas, peacefully passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2023 at home. Kay was born October 22, 1936 in Magnolia, Arkansas to Claude and Willie (Hickman) Young.
After moving to Stamps in 1965, she started her career at the Cherokee Carpet Mill, Lewisville, AR. Later was employed with Arkansas Power & Light (AP&L). The year of 1972, she accompanied Eldees starting a business of their own, "Williamson Pumping Service."

Kay was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, known as "Mammaw Kay."  She loved her grands and greats with all of her heart and soul. They were the highlight of her life.
She was a devoted member of 56 years to the Stamps First Baptist Church. Her love for the Lord was so apparent in everything she did. During that time, she served as the chairman of the Hospitality Committee, where many will remember her incredible brisket. Her hospitality did not stop there, her house was built around the fellowship of her family and friends.
As a faithful member of the church choir, her melodious voice touched the hearts of all who listened. She also devoted her time to the Esther Ladies Sunday School class and made lifelong friends. She enjoyed spending time on the golf course with the love of her life.

Kay was preceded in death by her parents; Claude and Willie (Hickman) Young; husband, Eldees of fifty-nine years; brothers, Carroll Young and Barry Joe Young; son, Sammy Joe Williamson; grandson, Jeremy Keith Williamson.

She is survived by two sons, Ted Williamson and wife Maleah of Stamps, AR; and Kelly Williamson and wife, LouAnn of Magnolia, AR; brother-in-law, Bob Williamson of Midland, TX and sister-in-law Barbara Ann Keith of Haughton, LA.
Six grandchildren: Brandon Williamson of Hernando, Mississippi; Kaycee Williamson of Hot Springs, AR; Jason Williamson and wife, Karen of Springhill, Florida; Kadie Clark and husband, Cody of Stamps; DeeAnn Tinkle and husband, Jason of Sherwood, AR and Krista Hamlin and husband, Jason of Taylor, AR.  Thirteen great-grandchildren. Curtis Johnson, like a son of her own. Very special friend, Angie Jones.

The family honors her request to have graveside services only.
Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at Lakeside Cemetery in Stamps, AR, with Bro. Mike Turner officiating under the direction of Smith Funeral Homes of Stamps, AR.
