Alice Jean York, 82, of Jacksonville, Arkansas, passed away on Thursday, May 9,2024. She was born to James and Carrie Cearley on February 28, 1942, in Buckner, Arkansas. She enjoyed time spent with her dogs, as well as crocheting, knitting and cross stitch. Alice enjoyed bowling and being with her family and friends. Just knowing her brought a smile to so many faces.

Preceded in death by her parents, James and Carrie Cearley; son, Michael James York; brothers, Travis and Jimmy Cearley; sisters, Bonnie Moreland, Barbara Hill, Irene Cearley and Inez Cearley.

Survived by her son, Roger York of Jacksonville, Arkansas, and grandson, Travis James York.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at A O Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Stamps, Arkansas from 1:00 to 2:00 pm.

Funeral services will be held at A O Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Stamps, Arkansas on Saturday May 18, 2024, at 2:00 pm with Mr. Jimmy Wooten officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeside Cemetery, Stamps, Arkansas.
