Annette Jackson King

On October 23, 2026, at 10:30am, a gathering will take place at Wilson Cemetery in Lewisville, AR, to honor the life and legacy of Annette Jackson King. The service will be a testament to Annette's remarkable journey.

Annette's story began on February 26, 1945, in a house in Lewisville, Arkansas, where she was born to Paul and Annie Jackson. As she grew, Annette embraced life with a passion for family and cherished her childhood memories spent in Springhill, Louisiana. Fate wove its intricate threads when Annette crossed paths with her future husband, Mitchell King, on a double date with a cousin. Little did she know that this chance encounter would lead to a journey of love, companionship, and a big move to Texas.

With their 2 children, Kelly and Russell, they enjoyed camping trips, family gatherings, and many ball games. In 1984, Mickey was tragically taken from this world in an accident, leaving Annette a young widow. She spent the next few years raising her children and working as a library aide with Plano ISD. Annette's passions extended beyond the school walls, with nature as her sanctuary, where she found solace and joy in tending her exquisite flower beds and immersing herself in the chirping of birds.

Perhaps the most profound aspect of Annette's life was her unwavering faith. It was evident in her work as a church volunteer with the children's ministry and her dedication to the Meadows Baptist Church library. Her relationship with the Lord was the cornerstone of her existence, guiding her actions and shaping her service to others. Throughout her life, Annette epitomized the values of love, devotion, and family. She was not only a loving wife but also a devoted mother and grandmother, cherishing each moment spent with her beloved family.

Annette went to join her Lord and Savior peacefully on September 12, 2026, in Wylie, Texas.

Annette is preceded in death by her husband, Mitchell King, and her 2 brothers, Ernest and Phil Jackson. Annette is survived by her daughter, Kelly Hamilton, her husband, Matthew, and their two children, Garrett and Taylor. Her son, Russeli King, and his four children, Nathan, Trent, Jacob, and Allie, and her great-granddaughter, Laiken. As well as her sister, Phyllis Ferris, and her husband, Wil, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family would like to thank Annette's outstanding caregivers at Joyful Assisted Living in Wylie and the many volunteers with Lovewell Hospice who led Annette spiritually, walking a path illuminated by Bible readings and soul-stirring songs in her last few months here on earth.

As we come together to say our final goodbyes to Annette, let us hold dear the memories of her giving spirit, her steadfast love, and the profound impact she had on so many lives through her in kindness and grace. Though she may have departed from this earthly realm, her legacy will live on eternally within the hearts of all who were blessed to cross her path.
