Ava Marie Nevill, age 73 of Wake Village, Texas, passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2016. Mrs. Nevill was born June 16, 1943 in Paso Robles, California to James and Myrtis Burdue. She was a member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Lockesburg, Arkansas.

Mrs. Nevill was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Grady Nevill.

She is survived by her sons, Rodney Lynn Strange and wife, Lynda of Texarkana, TX and Gary Wayne Strange of Wake Village, TX; sister, Shawn Elizabeth Pierce and husband, Dan of Russellville, AR; three grandchildren, Adam Strange and wife, Misty; Kenan Strange and wife, Brooke; and Jennifer Thomas and husband, Wayne; eight great grandchildren, Austin Goodson, Zachary Goodson, Isabelle Strange, Wyatt Strange, Chloe Strange, Lavon Brown, Travell Brown, and Kamin Thomas; one great-great grandchild, Ava Goodson; niece, Charlene Haury of Holden, LA; and many friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 2pm Saturday, December 31, 2016 at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Lockesburg, AR with Rev. Wesley Blankenship officiating. Interment will follow at Lockesburg Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Homes of Stamps, AR. Visitation will be held from noon until service time at the church.
