Bessie Irene Pratt, age 85 of Plain Dealing, Louisiana passed away Monday, February 9, 2015 at her home. Mrs. Pratt was born April 24, 1929 in Lewisville, Arkansas to Joe and Dollie Williams. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of Canfield Baptist Church.

Mrs. Pratt was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leroy Pratt; four brothers, Clarendon Williams and wife, Bessie; J.D. Williams and wife, Betty Jean; Jodie Williams; and Earl Williams and wife, Monzene; and two sisters, Gracie Mae Wootton and husband, Roy and Minnie Clark and husband, Roy.

She is survived by her son, Gary Pratt and wife, Tonya of Canfield, AR; two daughters, Charandra Hines and husband, Doug of Plain Dealing, LA and Shelia Etheridge and husband, Mark of Monticello, AR; sister-in-law, Hazel Williams; seven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; one great grandchild due this month; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 12, 2015 at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Stamps, AR with Bro. Gladney Hunt officiating. Interment will follow at DeMoss Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at the Smith Funeral Home in Stamps. Online registration is available at www.aosmithfuneralhome.com.
