Betty Sue DeLony Young, 88, was born on July 1, 1930 in Bradley, AR and entered into rest on June 18, 2019 in Bossier City, LA. Born and raised in Bradley, AR, she was a dedicated wife, mother and homemaker, whose kitchen never met a stranger.  On any given day, she could prepare meals for over 30 people who were working the family farm. When not preparing meals, she could be found sewing, canning or raising children.  Betty's faith was strong and kindness filled any room she entered.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 19 from 6pm to 8pm and a service will be held Thursday, June 20 at 2 p.m., both at Bradley Baptist Church, Bradley, AR with Father Matthew Long and Brother Ben Alderman officiating. Graveside service will be held in Walnut Hill Cemetery, Bradley, AR.

Betty is survived by her 4 children – LaDonna DeLony Thomason (Johnny), Brazoria, TX; Lenna DeLony Taylor (John), Springhill, LA; Andy DeLony (Denise), Shreveport, LA and Lee Ann DeLony Lane (Jerry), Shreveport, LA; seven grandchildren – Dusty Thomason Craven, Danny Thomason (Buffy), Jennifer Taylor Ayres (Lee), Chad Taylor (Melissa), Jodie DeLony White (Ray), Patrick DeLony and Misty Lane Shadd (Corey); seventeen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; three brothers – Kenneth Powell (Jane), Bobby Powell and Carroll Powell (Billie) and three sisters – Mary Powell Alderman (Jim), Dora Mestler and Charlotte Mulford.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Forest and Parthenia Powell, husband Jack Anderson DeLony and second husband Clarence R. Young, sister Louise Powell and brother John E. Powell.

Pallbearers will be Danny Thomason, Chad Taylor, Lee Ayres, Harrison Ayres, Dawson Taylor, Jack Taylor, Patrick DeLony, Ray White, Cole Denler, Corey Shadd, Matt Childers, Wayne Childers and Greg Colvin.

Honorary Pallbearers will be her "cowboys" Putt Van, Kenny Ray Wallace, Pete Goodman, Sonny Croswell, Mike Long, Billy White, John T. Williams, John Snider and Gary Morris.

The family would like to thank the staff of Savannah Grand of Bossier City for their care, love and support for "Ms. Betty."
