Betty Lou Harris, age 82 of Rosston, Arkansas, passed away Monday, September 14, 2015. Mrs. Harris was born January 16, 1933 in Bodcaw, Arkansas to Ernest and Ola Mae Jurls. She was a member of Corinth Baptist Church in Rosston.
Mrs. Harris was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Doyle Rutherford; husband, Richard Harris; two sons, Doyle Wayne Rutherford and Daniel Earl Harris; three brothers, George Jurls, Ernest Jurls, Jr., and Charles Delbert Jurls; and one sister, Junez Cook.
She is survived by two sons, Larry Rutherford of Hope, AR, and Donnie Rutherford of Rosston, AR; two daughters, Marsha Hufnagle of Rosston, AR, and Debra (Debbie Lou) Cox of Denton, TX; two sisters, Valerie Jean Poindexter of Hope, AR and Brenda Sue Dickson of Magnolia, AR; thirteen grandchildren, William, Rebbeca, Laura, Charles, Jenifer, Holly, Ryan, Roy, Miller, Daniel Wayne, Corrie, April, and Ian; several great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and countless friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 17, 2015 at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Stamps, Arkansas with Bro. Joe Brown and Bro. Dennis Cole officiating. Interment will follow at Sardis Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Stamps.
