Obituary

Betty May Judd, age 82, of Lewisville, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on Thursday November 23, 2023. She was born March 10, 1941, in Lewisville, Arkansas to Edna Bright May and Claudie May. She was a lifetime member of First Baptist Church of Lewisville. Betty was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She spent her life in service of others, always putting herself last.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Vance Judd, her parents Edna May and Claudie May, her son-in-law Gary Harman and one sister, Mary Lois Robertson. She is survived by one son, Bill Judd and wife Denise of Washington, Arkansas and one daughter, Jill Harman of Lewisville, Arkansas. Betty also leaves behind four grandchildren, Brad Judd and wife Patrice of Friendship, Arkansas, Phillip Judd and wife Kayla of Spring Hill, Arkansas, Paige Porter and husband Jordan and Fallon Park and husband Clint, all of Lewisville, Arkansas. Moreover, Grandmother/Memaw leaves behind her most precious great-grandbabies, Kenley, Pacer, Piper, Paelyn, Moxie, Preslee, Tyler, and Ryan. Lastly, she is survived by two sisters, Helen Wright, Louise Black and husband John, one brother-in-law Donald Lee Judd and wife Carol, numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom she adored.

Betty was a 1959 graduate of Lewisville High School. She was an insurance agent, co-owned the cleaners in Lewisville, and worked for Dr. Harrison. Bet's favorite job by far, was helping raise her four grandchildren. She taught Sunday School and served on numerous committees at church throughout the years. She enjoyed cooking and canning and there was always wonderful food at her home. Bet was very creative and loved to craft. Without a doubt her favorite pastime was sewing. She could stitch up anything from drapes to wedding dresses to costumes.

There will be a visitation Saturday, November 25, 2023, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at A O Smith Funeral Home in Stamps, Arkansas.

Graveside services will be held on Sunday, November 26, 2023, at 2:00 pm at Wilson Cemetery, Stamps Arkansas with Brother Charlie Zumwalt officiating, under the direction of A O Smith Funeral Home, Stamps, Arkansas.
