Betty Jane Thomas, age 69, of Taylor, Arkansas passed away April 21, 2019.  She was born August 27, 1949 in Chicago, Illinois to Author and Ruby Dudley.  She was a cafeteria worker at the Bradley School District for 26 years and worked at the Hornet Drive-In in Sarepta, LA for 8 years.  She enjoyed cooking, playing BINGO, shopping, watching old TV shows, and listening to old music.  She also enjoyed her time with her family.

Mrs. Thomas was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clarence Thomas; son, Michael Anderson; daughter, Donna Anderson and brother, Eddie Dudley.

She is survived by her daughter, Gina Smelser and husband David of Taylor, AR; three brothers, Jimmy Dudley of Oklahoma, Jerry Dudley and wife Tonya of Lewisville, AR and Rodney Dudley and wife Jodi of Stamps, AR; six sisters, Patsy Lollis and husband Calvin of Lewisville, AR, Barbara Hicks of Prescott, AR, Joyce Dunn of Hampton, AR, Judy Green and husband Jay of Lewisville, AR, Gail Bliss of Maize, KS, and Karen Young and husband Mike of Goddard, KS; two grandchildren, Scott Hays and Chris Smelser; and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, April 25, 2019 at 2pm at the A.O. Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Stamps, AR with Bro Oliver McKamie officiating.  Interment will follow at the Shiloh Cemetery in Lamartine.  Visitation will be held from 6:00pm until 8:00pm, on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at the A.O. Smith Funeral Home on Thomas Street, in Stamps, Arkansas.

Honoring Mrs. Thomas as her pallbearers are: Joey Greene, Bobby Hicks, Josh Hicks, James Hill, Bill Hanson and Tim Hanson.
