Betty J. Tipton, 94, widow of Roy E. Tipton, passed away on October 11, 2020. She was born on April 22, 1926, in the Mount Vernon Community to John Bernard Aldridge and Bessie Faye Pullig Aldridge.

Betty lived most of her life in Stamps, AR, before moving to Little Rock in 2012. She was a faithful member of Stamps First Baptist Church, and Immanuel Baptist Church in Little Rock.

She was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Roy, her parents, and two brothers, John B. Aldridge, Jr. and James Elwood Aldridge.
She is survived by her three daughters: Linda Mellowes (john) of Milwaukee, WI, Janie Matthews, and Rene' Carson (Kit) of Little Rock. Grandchildren include Charles (Katie) and John (Jan) Mellowes of Milwaukee, Craig Byrd of Mabelvale, Karen Pounders of Bryant, Kris Carson (Staci) and Leah Carson of Little Rock, and Shoshona Magby. She also had three nieces and many friends.

Thanks to the nurses at Parkway Health Center and First Choice Senior Care for their help and understanding. A special thanks to Dr. David Jones for his tender care and support.

We will miss our Mother and Granny. We rest in the knowledge that she and Daddy are walking together down the streets of gold in heaven.

Cremation services were provided by A.O. Smith Funeral Homes. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date due to the current health restrictions.
