Bobby Gene Fields, age 81, of Taylor, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, March 18, 2018 at Christus Highland Medical Center in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Mr.Fields was born March 17, 1937 in Taylor, Arkansas to Delbert Foy and Martha Juanita (Lewis) Fields. He was retired, after 35 years of service, from Lafayette Steel Erectors. He loved watching his granddaughter play sports, and spending time at "The Place".
Mr. Fields was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Glenda (Edwards) Fields; and a daughter, Kelli Fields Bishop;
He is survived by daughters, Terri Simmons, and husband Greg, of Taylor, AR, and Debi Tietjen, and husband (Neil) of Magnolia, AR; sisters, Carmaletta Perot, and husband Richard, of Sibley, LA , and Rebecca Nelle Vaughan, and husband James of Haughton, LA; brothers, Clifton Fields, and wife Lynda Kay of Atlanta, TX, Johnny Fields of Bogalusa, LA, And Ricky Lynn Fields, and wife Debra of Shongaloo, LA; grandchildren, Lauren Ashleigh Jennings, Jaci Poindexter, Blake Byrd, and Stephanie Wallace; and numerous nieces and nephews; along with a very special friend, "The Coon", Mike Rouke.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00am, Wednesday, March 21, 2018, at Smith Funeral Home Chapel, in Taylor, AR with Bro. Mike Pedroza officiating. Interment will follow at Taylor Memorial Cemetery in Taylor, AR. Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 20, 2018, from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Taylor, AR.
Honoring Mr. Fields as his pallbearers are Cliff Fields, Ricky Fields, Johnny Fields,Mike Rouke, J.B. Prudhomme, and Paul Cobb.
