Bobby Joe Hicks, age 63 of Little Rock, Arkansas passed away Monday, February 15, 2016. He was born November 9, 1952 in Bodcaw, Arkansas to Rev. Joe "Son" and Faye Marie Hicks. Bobby had a voracious hunger for knowledge and tried to learn something new every day. He was extremely interested in psychology, religions around the world, and philosophy all his adult life. He was a seeker of truth. His hobby was martial arts and he became very proficient in Kung Fu, Taekwondo, and Shaolin Kung Fu. Bobby also loved writing and he was a published poet. He was much loved and will be greatly missed.
Mr. Hicks was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Allen Hicks; and niece, Lisa Eppler.
He is survived by his son, Johnny Brown of Magnolia, AR; three brothers, Randy Hicks and wife, Timothia of Little Rock, AR, Kenny Hicks of Prescott, AR, and Kerry Hicks and wife, Bobbie Jo of Mena, AR; sister, Linda Hicks of Malvern, AR; five nephews; four nieces; and many friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 2pm Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Union Baptist Church in Bodcaw, AR with Bro. Joe Brown and Bro. Charles Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at Union Cemetery in Bodcaw. Pallbearers will be Aaron Arterbury, Donathan Herron, Johnny Brown, Charles Taylor, Jerry Hicks, Charlie Hicks, and Paul Hicks.
