Bobby Joe Middlebrooks, 80, of Bradley, Arkansas, passed away on September 14, 2022, in Texarkana, Texas. He was born March 1, 1942, to Luther Gilbert Middlebrooks and Ida (Shull) Middlebrooks in Shreveport, Louisiana. Bobby, or as many knew him as "Joe", was a very active community member. He was secretary for the Bradley Volunteer Fire Department, a charter member of the Chamber of Commerce in which he served as president for the last several years. Joe was a former member of the Lafayette County Quorum Court, Justice of the Peace, a member of the Southwest Arkansas Comprehensive Care, a member of the Methodist Church of Bradley and was an avid sports fan of all Bradley and Arkansas Razorback sports. 'never met a person he didn't like, never met a food buffet he didn't love."

He was preceded by in death by his first wife Carolyn Hopkins Middlebrooks, and parents, L.G. and Ida Middlebrooks.

Bobby is survived by his wife, Darlene (Ramsey) Middlebrooks of Bradley, Arkansas; one son, Jon Middlebrooks of Omaha, Nebraska; two grandchildren, Christopher Middlebrooks (Andrea) and Alex Middlebrooks all of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; one great grandchild, Parker Middlebrooks, and a host of friends.

Honorary Pallbearers will be the Bradley Volunteer Fire Department.

A Memorial Service will be on Thursday, September 22, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at the Bradley Methodist Church in Bradley, Arkansas.

Cremation provided by A.O. Smith Funeral Home of Stamps, Arkansas.
