Bobby Joe Watson was born March 14, 1940 in McNeil, AR to the parentage of the late Leon Watson and Mae Bell Lockhart. He departed his life here on earth on June 2, 2015, at Life Touch Hospice in El Dorado, AR.
Brother Bobby Watson graduated from McNeil High School and joined St. Matthew Baptist Church in McNeil, AR at an early age.
Bobby worked at Amfuel in Magnolia, AR over 30 plus years. He was a loving and devoted father, grandfather, uncle, cousin and friend. He was the best domino player on earth and was also a well-known pool player.
Preceding Bobby Watson in death are his parents, grandparents, and two brothers.
Those left to cherish his memories are his wife: Jackie Watson of the home; six children from a previous marriage: two sons: Demetrius Watson of Magnolia, AR, and Frank Watson of McNeil, AR; four daughters: Cheryl Daniels and Nadine Watson of McNeil, AR, Jocelyn (Billy) Walker of Camden, AR, and Crystal Walker of Magnolia, AR; one daughter and two step-daughters with his current wife: Shandrell Watson, Kimberly Lambert, and Latesha Lambert all of Waldo, AR; five siblings: one brother, Rodger Lockhart of Kansas City, MO; four sisters: Patsy Jones, Justine Harris, and Jewlene Ivory of Kansas City, Kansas and Josephine Stark of Michigan; four brother in laws: Otis Standoak, Earnest (Dorothy ) Standoak, and Danny Lambert of Waldo, AR and Thomas Lambert of Hot Springs, AR, two sister in laws: Clara Moransee and Shelia (Leon) Robinson of Hot Springs, AR; one aunt: Essie Bolden of Kansas City, Kansas, eighteen grandchildren, six step grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and four special friends: Bud Ferguson, David Modica, James Clayton, and Donald "Duck" Jones-cousin.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 13th, at 2pm at St. Matthew Church in McNeil, AR. With burial to follow in the Gatlin Cemetery in Stephens, AR. Under the direction of Smith Funeral Home, Inc. of Stamps, AR. Officiating will be Rev. James C. Scott.
Visitation : Friday 11-4 pm at the funeral home.
