Byrdie Charlene Groce, age 83, of Stamps, Arkansas passed away Saturday, October 11, 2014 at the Homestead Manor Nursing Home in Stamps. She was born March 2, 1931 in Hope, Arkansas to Charles Penix and Byrdie Parlee Eddy Walston. Mrs. Groce was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church.

Mrs. Groce was preceded in death by her parents, and one son, Vaughn Groce.

She is survived by her loving husband, Bill Groce of Stamps; son, Vance Groce and wife Cindy of Stamps, five grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at the A.O. Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Stamps with the Bro. Charlie Warren officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeside Cemetery in Stamps under the direction of Smith Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Monday, October 13, 2014 at the funeral home in Stamps.
