Charles Edward Brooks, 85, passed away October 12, 2020 at his home in Bradley, Arkansas of a short battle with colon cancer.

Charles was born September 3, 1935 in Athens, Alabama to the late Edward and Alma Ball Brooks. Charles lived most of his life at McCormick/Bay, Arkansas and the remainder in Bradley. He was a truck driver, cotton gin manager and owned two businesses in his working career. Charles was a giving person that enjoyed doing things for other people. He was a loving husband, father and the best sibling that a person could ask for.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents; wife and lifelong companion, Bonnie Brooks; one son, James Brooks; one brother, Billy Wayne Brooks and one sister, Juanita Brooks Blanton.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory one daughter, Darlene Brooks Campbell; one son, David Brooks; sister, Shelby Brooks Durfee; brothers, Gaylon Brooks, Donnie Brooks and Jimmy Brooks; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Memorial services and burial will be private for family only. Cremation services were provided by A.O. Smith Funeral Homes.
