Visitation for Mr. Charles E. Cubley, age 63, will be held at 11:00am until 1:00pm, Thursday, August 9, 2018, at the A.O. Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Bradley, AR. A Graveside Service will follow at the Walnut Hill Cemetery, at 2:00pm, with Bro. Calvin Hubbard, officiating, under the direction of A.O. Smith Funeral Home.
Chuck was born Feb. 26, 1955, in Shreveport, LA to Robert E. Cubley, Sr. and Opal Cantrell Cubley. He passed away on Sunday, August 5, 2018, in Benton, LA, after a courageous battle with cancer,
Chuck was a hard worker and took much pride in in his work. He worked for several paint and body shops (Raney's, Red River, and Curry's) for over twenty years before becoming self-employed. He opened a shop in McLeod, TX, better known as "McLead Hobby Shop" where he did most anything. If it was broke, people would come see him. Chuck loved hunting "The Huckaby", fishing, and riding his Harley when he had time.
Chuck is survived by his special friend Chyrl; three stepsons; a stepdaughter; a special grandson, Marcus; granddaughters, Rayne "Boogaloo" and Harper; brothers, Robert Cubley, Jr., and wife Connie, and James Cubley: sister, Beverly C. Gildon, and husband, Raymond; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
Serving as pallbearers will be Darrell Gildon, Stephen Burton, Jacob Kilcrease, Brian Cubley, Garrett Cubley, and Jacob H. Kilcrease. Honorary pallbearers will be, Raymond Gildon, Robert Cubley, Jr., Kris Slopak, and Johnny Reid.
