Charles Ray Duck, Sr, age 78 of Sarepta, Louisiana, passed away Monday, December 11, 2017. Mr. Duck was born March 29, 1939 in Hodge, Louisiana to Joil and Gustavia Marie Duck. He enjoyed drag racing, both on the track and the road. He was a member of the Carpenters Union. Other past-times enjoyed were fishing, hunting, camping and yard work like mowing and raking leaves. He loved his family and his grandchildren and also enjoyed music.

Mr. Duck was preceded in death by his parents; son, Charles Wayne Duck; daughter, Kathy Marie Duck; seven brothers, Junior, R.H., Jimmy, David, Bobby, Donald, and Nathan; and three sisters, Betty, Barbara Ann, and Mary Helen.

He is survived by his wife of over 59 years, Joyce Ann Duck of Sarepta, LA; son, Charles Ray Duck, Jr.; two daughters, Karen Lynne Hicks and husband, David and Teresa Ann Williams and husband, Kenneth all of Sarepta, LA; seven grandchildren, Hosston Duck, Raylea Duck, Brandon Hicks, Mistie Oliver, Amanda Kay Sexton, Rachal Williams-Davis, and Caleb Aaron Williams; six great grandchildren, Lane Sexton, John Luke Sexton, Anna Grace Hicks, Emily Oliver, Ethan Oliver, and Abby Joy Oliver; and very special friends, Gary Daniels, Robert Charles, Larry Buford, Sr., Reggie Taylor, and Lewis Lee; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral Services will be held at 2pm Thursday, December 14, 2017 at New Sarepta Baptist Church in Sarepta, LA with Bro. Todd Pickard officiating. Interment will follow at Western Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Homes of Stamps, AR. Visitation will be held from 5-8pm Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at the New Sarepta Baptist Church in Sarepta. Online registration is available at www.aosmithfuneralhome.com.
