Charles Lewis Grappe, Sr, 93, of Sarepta, Louisiana, passed away on Friday, January 31, 2025, at his home.  Charles was born to Lee Earl and Bessie (Banks) Grappe on November 22, 1931, in Oil City, LA. He retired from International Paper, and from the town of Sarepta as Chief of Police, and he was a horse trainer.

Charles is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, John Grappe, Doug Grappe, Fred Grappe, and Bernard Grappe; and sister, Geneva Russell.

Charles is survived by his wife, Kelley (Burt) Grappe of Sarepta, LA; sons, Charles Grappe, Jr. of Sarepta, LA, and Ben Grappe of Monroe, LA; brothers, Wilson Grappe and wife, Doris of Haughton, LA, and Tommy Grappe and wife, Pam of Doyline, LA; sisters, Irene Nichols of Coushatta, LA and Doris Grappe of Coushatta, LA.

Private Graveside Services were at Old Sarepta Cemetery, under the direction of   A O Smith Funeral Home, Stamps, AR.
