Christy Joann Wade

Christy Joann Wade, age 54, of Garland, Arkansas, passed away on Friday, October 16, 2026, at her residence in Garland. She was born on March 5, 1972, to Aubrey and Marzelle O’Neal in Texarkana, Texas. Christy led a simple life at home with her family. She loved to fish enjoyed writing and reading and above all, loved her time spent with her family. Christy was a long time member of Faith Baptist Church.

Preceding Christy in death was her parents, Aubrey and Marzelle O’Neal; daughter, Christina Wade; and her sister, Mary Muckelvane.

She is survived by her longtime life companion, Butch Hinton; son, Christopher (Anna) Wade, of Ashdown, AR; daughter, Faith (Kaleb Andrews) Wade of Ashdown, AR; stepdaughter, Brittany Wade of Hooks, TX; brothers, Joe O’Neal of Fouke, AR, Perry Hawkins of Texarkana, AR and Tim Hawkins of Texarkana, TX; grandchildren, Connor Wade, Braxton Briley, Branton Briley, Makynlee Gist, Brianna Sumler, and Baylee Sumler; great grandson, Koa Wade; and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and family.

There will be a visitation held on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the A O Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Stamps, Arkansas.

Cremation services are under the direction of A O Smith Funeral Home, Stamps, Arkansas.
