Clarence Edman, age 89 of Magnolia, Arkansas, passed away Monday, September 4, 2017. Mr. Edman was born July 7, 1928 in Whitehall, Arkansas to Charlie and Daisy Knighton Edman. He was a Korean War Veteran and retired from Arkla Gas. Known as "Mr. C", he helped Charlie at Magnolia Lawn and Timber for many years. Mr. Edman enjoyed traveling, the mountains, Branson, Missouri, and Blue Grass Festivals; his bags were always packed and ready to go. He also enjoyed music, playing dominoes, western movies, reading his Bible, and eating at Cracker Barrel. He was full of life, friendly and loving to all he met. He faithfully attended the First Church of God of Homer, Louisiana.

Mr. Edman was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of over sixty-two years, Abigal Turnage Edman; half-brother, Conley Carden; and two sisters, Charlene Smith and Mary Lee Ord.

He is survived by one sister, Wilma Fulford of Delhi, LA; a very special nephew, Jerry Foote and wife, Judy of Dunn, LA and numerous nieces and nephews; and his loving caregiver and children he never had, Charlie and Sheila Clark of Magnolia, AR.

Special thanks to Dr. Keith Mooney, Iris Kennedy, and the staff at Arkansas Urology, and Life Touch Hospice for all their care and also, Dr. Byron Grimmett for all of his care.

Pallbearers will be Charlie Clark, Jerry Foote, Jimmy Lindsey, Gary Daniels, Charlie Flurry, and Byron Thomason. Honorary pallbearers will be Dalton Dendy, Herschel Hampton, Rickie Barnard, Harold Rogers, and Marvin Ethridge.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Stamps, AR with Bro. Elvis Griffin officiating, assisted by Sis. Linda Dean. Interment will follow at Shiloh Cemetery in Buckner, AR. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at the Smith Funeral Home in Stamps.
