Cleborn Leo Carter, 97, of Doddridge, Arkansas passed away June 18, 2021. He was born December 10, 1923 in Ravanna, Texas to Howard and Cindy Carter. Cleborn was a member of Evergreen Baptist Church in Doddridge, AR.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Alta Laverne Carter; parents, Howard and Cindy Carter; brother, Leon Carter and daughter, Virginia Davis.

Cleborn is survived by two sons, Michael Carter and wife, Laura of Powhatan, AR and Timmy Carter of Doddridge, AR; son in law, Jack Davis of Texarkana, AR; five grandchildren, Jackie Davis Price of Texarkana, AR, Michelle Carter of Walnut Ridge, AR, Brandy Wilde of Pocahontas, AR, Anthony Carter of Doddridge, AR, and Misty Carter of Surprise, AZ; and nine great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 20, 2021 at 3:00 P.M. at Mt. Zion Church in Doddridge with Mr. Brian Cloninger officiating under the direction of A.O. Smith Funeral Homes. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Doddridge. Visitation will be held before the service at the church from 2:00 til service time.
