Clovis Stewart Landes, age 94 of Lewisville, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, April 15, 2018 at his home. Mr. Landes was born July 30, 1923 at his home in Lewisville. He was the oldest of three sons' of James Curtis and Aileen Stewart Landes. He was a Christian, and a life-long member of the First Baptist Church of Lewisville. He was a graduate of the University of Arkansas and also attended Ouachita Baptist University. Mr. Landes enjoyed hunting, fishing, and just about anything to do with the outdoors and nature. He was also a talented artist and a Veteran of World War II where he served in the USAF as a radio operator of B17's and B29 aircrafts. For over 20 years, he was a Post Master in Lewisville and was also a successful local business man. Many interesting and humorous stories were shared by Stewart with his friends and family; he loved seeing people laugh. He was surely loved and will be missed by many.

Mr. Landes was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Yvonne Landes; and one brother, Rodney Route Landes.

He is survived by one son, Larry Landes of Lewisville, AR; one brother, James Curtis Landes II and wife, Grace of Des Peres, MO; two grandsons, Brock Landes of Conway, AR and Logan Landes of Laguna Beach, CA; two step-daughters, Debbie Nolte and Sandra Haltom both of Texarkana; one step-granddaughter, Angie Riley of Blanchard, LA; one step-grandson, Bryan Nolte of Texarkana; and one step-great grandson, Jack Todd Barton of Benton, AR.

A Memorial Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at Wilson Cemetery in Lewisville, AR under the direction of Smith Funeral Homes, Thomas Street location, in Stamps, AR.
