Daisy Dudley, 86 of Lake Erling, passed away September 5, 2026, in Shreveport, Louisiana. She was born on October 19, 1939, in Stamps, Arkansas to Jesse Beene Sr. and Edna Roton Harrison. Daisy was a schoolteacher for over 30 years. She enjoyed fishing, doing puzzles with her family, bossing Papaw around, and keeping a very close eye on life360. But the thing she enjoyed the most was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Daisy loved being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She didn’t just see them on holidays and special occasions – she was a constant part of their lives and spent countless hours with them. Whether they were going somewhere together, sitting around visiting, or doing absolutely nothing at all, she simply wanted to be wherever they were. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were truly the center of her world, and being their Mamaw Daisy was one of the greatest joys of her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Jesse Beene Jr., four sisters, Ruth Elmore, Ester Baker, Mary Smith and Barbara Garrett, one granddaughter Kimberly Britt and one step grandson Thomas Dudley.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 45 years, Robert Dudley of Lake Erling. Two sons, Gerry Britt (Megan) and Michael Britt (Connie) both of Benton, Arkansas and one stepdaughter, Robin Keck of Taylor, Arkansas. Five grandchildren, Christen Johnson (Casey), Phillip Britt, Laura Britt, Hayden Britt, and Garrett Britt, and step-grandson David Keck. Three great grandchildren, Parker, Kady and Brody Johnson. Special sister-in-law Brenda Beene, daughter-in-love Rhonda Dyer, and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and family.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at First Baptist Church in Taylor, Arkansas, with Bro. Randy Wilson and Bro. Johnathan Montgomery officiating under the direction of A.O. Smith Funeral Home in Stamps, Arkansas. Interment will follow at Lakeside Cemetery in Stamps, Arkansas.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at First Baptist Church in Taylor, Arkansas.
