David Corbett, 90, of Lewisville, Arkansas, entered his Heavenly Home on April 28, 2025. He was welcomed by his Savior and loving family who were waiting for him there.
Mr. Corbett was born on November 14, 1934, in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. He served in the U S Air Force, served the citizens of Nevada as a law enforcement officer, and retired as maintenance superintendent at Bradley, Arkansas School. He had accepted Jesus earlier in life and followed Him in scriptural baptism at Providence Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Clara Corbett; sister, Thelma Lee Heffel; brothers, Eugene Corbett, Wayne Corbett and James Corbett Jr; and the loves of his life, Princess and Abbey, his beloved companions that he adopted from the Hope Animal Shelter.
He is survived by one sister-in-law, Linda Corbett of Ocala, Florida; several nieces and nephews; and special friends and caregivers, Scott and Melanie Glass, Robert Richards, Randy Stewart, and the compassionate nurses, aides and staff of Enhabit Hospice.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at 10:00 a m at Wilson Cemetery, under the direction of A O Smith Funeral Home, Stamps, Arkansas.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hope Animal Shelter in honor of Mr. Corbett.
