Mr. Derrell Clements, age 93, of Taylor, Arkansas passed away Thursday, December 12, 2019 at his home. He was born July 30, 1926 in Mineral Springs, Arkansas to John and Ruby Clements. Derrell grew up around Springhill, Louisiana. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy for 22 years, from which he retired. He served in WWII, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. He was a member of the VFW and the First United Methodist Church in Taylor. He loved to spend time studying the Bible, preaching, fishing, and making homemade wine. At other times you could find him "running the roads".
Derrell was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Callie Marie Clements; stepson, Kenneth Randall Foulke; granddaughter, Kami Wynne; and brother, James Clements.
He is survived by his grandson, Cody Foulke and wife, Jeannie of Cypress, TX; great grandchildren, Justina Moseley and husband, Chase of Taylor, AR, Sunni Wynne of Emerson, AR and Zoe and Tristan Foulke of Cypress, TX; great-great grandchildren, Adley Moseley, and several friends and family of the community
Funeral services will be held 2PM, Sunday, December 15, 2019 at A.O. Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Taylor, AR with Kree Foster officiating. Interment will follow at Taylor Memorial under the direction of A.O. Smith Funeral Homes. Visitation will be from 6-8PM, Saturday, December 14, 2019 at the Taylor Chapel.
Honoring Mr. Clements as pallbearers are Chase Moseley, Jason Glass, Blade Glass, Dakota Glass, Lloyd Clements, and Charlie Clements.
