Donald Emmitt Black, age 83 of Denton, Texas passed away Friday, July 25, 2014 at the Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital. He was born March 4, 1931 in New Orleans, Louisiana to George Claud and Emma Alice Manley Black. Mr. Black was an Army Veteran of the Korean War.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Edith Black.

Mr. Black is survived by two sons: Mack Black and wife Pat of Pelican, Louisiana, and Ken Black and wife Debbie of Denton, Texas. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Chris Black, and Chelsie Black Hersom and husband Micah.

Graveside services will be held 3 p.m. Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at the Lakeside cemetery in Stamps with the Rev. Lee Dickson officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at the A.O. Smith Funeral Home in Stamps, Arkansas from 2p.m. until service time.
