Dorothy Jean Alford, 83, of Texarkana, Arkansas passed away on March 12, 2022. She was born October 12, 1938 in Hot Springs, AR to Hugh Campbell and Ora Murphy Campbell. Mrs. Alford enjoyed fishing, watching old westerns, and making her famous potato bread and gifting it to friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Charlie Wade and second husband, Phil Alford, Jr.

Mrs. Alford is survived by two sons, Thomas Wade and wife, Denise of Waskom, TX and Ted Wade and wife, Angela of Texarkana, TX; three step sons, Phillip Alford, III and wife, Glenda of Stephenville, AR, Walter Bruce Alford and wife, Linda of Lewisville, AR, and James Thomas Alford and wife, Vivian of Lewisville, AR; two step daughters, Carolyn Jane Coleman and late husband, John of Jonesboro, AR and Susan Coleman and husband Tom of Mountain Home, AR; 21 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; and special friend, Eugene Smith.

The family of Dorothy Alford would like to say a special thanks to Virginia Braden, Tiffany Johnson and Janice Hampton.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at 11:00A.M. at Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Stamps with Jay Launius officiating. Interment will follow at Wilson Cemetery under the direction of A.O. Smith Funeral Home. Visitation will be help prior to the service on Wednesday from 10:00A.M until service time.
