Dorothy Elaine Guthrie, age 79 of Texarkana, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, May 18, 2017 at her home. Mrs. Guthrie was born February 16, 1938 in Ft. Lynn, Arkansas. She was a member of Concord Holiness Church in Fouke, AR for seventy-five years and volunteered at the Salvation Army Kitchen for over ten years.

Mrs. Guthrie was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, John Martin Guthrie and Alan Dale Guthrie; one brother, Buddy Hall; and one sister, Sue Oswald.

She is survived by special friend and companion, John H. Ward of Texarkana, AR; one daughter, Cindy Youngkin of Dawsonville, GA; granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Leslie Autrey and Tony of Hooks, TX; grandson, Skyler Youngkin of Atlanta, GA; three great granddaughters, Hailey Autrey, Meagan Autrey, and Jessica Autrey all of Hooks, TX; care giver, Laura Hopkins of Genoa, AR; best friend for over fifty years, Reba McKamie; and many other relatives and friends.
