Dorothy "Dot" Cleveland Kitchens, age 80 of Lewisville, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at her home peacefully with her family by her side. Mrs. Kitchens was born October 31, 1937 in Stamps, Arkansas to Virgil and Grace Cleveland. Dot was an avid animal lover, especially dogs. She enjoyed the great outdoors and was a tom boy through and through. She also enjoyed hunting arrowheads, floating the Red River with her husband, and squirrel hunting with her favorite dog, Mandy. Dot was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church in Lewisville.

Mrs. Kitchens was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Christine Oglesby.

She is survived by her husband, Herschel Kitchens of Lewisville whom she married on April 4, 1958. She is also survived by two sons, Shane Kitchens and wife, Karen of Lewisville, AR and Klay Kitchens and wife, Debbie of Victoria, TX; two daughters, Kim Kitchens and Carl Warren of Tupelo, MS and Kerri Kitchens Ochs and husband, Steven of Magnolia, AR; one brother, Virgil Cleveland of Houston, TX; one sister, Maribeth Fogg of Peal River, LA; one brother-in-law, Steve Kitchens; four wonderful grandchildren, Luke and Kaylee Franks, Tyler Kitchens and fiance, Chelsea McCloskey, and Jesse Kitchens and wife, Ruth Gomez; one great granddaughter, Olivia Kitchens; and two step-grandchildren, Ryland and Addison Ochs.

Visitation will be held from 5-7pm Thursday, January 11, 2018 at the Smith Funeral Home in Stamps, Arkansas. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kindred at Home Hospice or to any Humane Society. Online registration is available at www.aosmithfuneralhome.com.
