Durward "Bo" Murphy, age 87, of Magnolia, Arkansas, passed away, Friday, March 29, 2019, at Christus St. Michael Health System, in Texarkana, Texas. He was born on November 22, 1931, in El Dorado, AR, to Durward A. and Agnes Elzie (Christie) Murphy. He was retired from Halliburton, and enjoyed fishing, hunting, western movies, and was a big fan of John Wayne.

Mr. Murphy was preceded in death by: his parents; his wife, Pansy Ophelia (Marlar) Murphy, whom he married on September 30, 1951; and three sisters.

He is survived by: three daughters, Susan Watson, Cathy Young, and Wendy Cox, and husband, Tracy, all of Magnolia, AR; a sister, Patricia Murphy, of Chidester, AR; 10 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren, with another on the way; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, April 2, 2019, at the Columbia Cemetery in Waldo, AR, with Dr. Eric Goble officiating. Interment will follow, under the direction of A.O. Smith Funeral Homes in Stamps, Arkansas. Visitation will be on Monday, April 1, 2019, 5:00pm until 8:00pm, at Smith Funeral Home, 703 Thomas Street in Stamps, AR.
