Earnest Evans, Sr. 69, of Rosston, AR died May 27, 2016 at Hillcrest Care and Rehab. in Prescott, AR. He was born February 1, 1947 at Cale, AR. He was a Logger and a Tree Topper.

Survivors include: his wife, Joycesetta Evans of Rosston, AR; one son:
Earnest Lee Evans, Jr. of Rosston, AR: two daughters Vanessa Evans of Rosston, AR and Juanita Hall of Memphis, AR; seven sisters: Ruthie Lee Evans of Waldo, AR, Nadine Evans Quarles, Merine Evans Mitchell, Dexter Evans Young, Frances Evans of Rosston, AR, Diane Evans Purifoy, Hope, AR, and Yvonne Evans Gulley of Bluff City, AR; three brothers: Alvin Evans of Rosston, AR, Jonathan Evans of Hope, AR and Jewel Evans of Waldo, AR; fifteen grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 11:30 a.m. at New Bethel A.M.E. with Rev. Lesley Banks officiating. Burial to follow in the New Salem Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home of Stamps.

Visitation will be Friday, June 3, 2016 from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
