Earnestine Smitherman, 80, of Simms, Texas, passed away on Friday June 7, 2024, at Baptist Medical Center in North Little Rock, Arkansas. She was born on March 15,1944 in East Prairie, Missouri to J T and Virginia LeCroy. Earnestine was a member of Bowie County Cowboy Church, enjoyed riding in the country looking at wildflowers and the roses she raised in her yard.

Preceded in death are her parents, J T and Virginia LeCroy; son, Eric Smitherman; sister, Patricia; and grandson, Kevin Reese.

Survived by her spouse, Perry Smitherman; sons Clay Wiley, Jr of North Charleston, South Carolina, John (Gina)Wiley of Rudy, Arkansas, and Ron (Kathy) Wiley of Watts, Oklahoma; daughters, Genia (Rod) Taylor of Rarden, Ohio and Patti (Tony) Chastain of Mt. Home, Arkansas; thirteen grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren; niece, Barb Kruger of Broomfield, Colorado and nephew, Jay Mullens of New Iberia, Louisiana.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at 2:00 pm with Brother Tuffy Williams officiating. Services will be held at A O Smith Funeral Home, Stamps, Arkansas with interment to follow at the Stephens Cemetery, Stephens, Arkansas.

There will be a visitation held on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, from 1:00 to 2:00 pm prior to the service.

Services are under the direction of A O Smith Funeral Home, Stamps, Arkansas.
