Eldees Williamson, age 79, of Stamps, Arkansas, passed away Monday, February 17, 2014, at his home. Mr. Williamson was born May 20, 1934, in Magnolia, Arkansas to Robert E. and Dessie Williamson. After moving to Stamps in 1965, Mr. Williamson worked as an oil well pumper for J.W. Operating Company. The year of 1972, he started a business of his own, "Williamson Pumping and Water Truck Service", which is still in operation today. He was a member of the Stamps First Baptist Church, an avid golfer, fisherman and hunter. Mr. Williamson retired after twenty-six years from the Stamps Volunteer Fire Department.

Mr. Williamson was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Vertice Williamson; son, Sammy Jo Williamson; grandson, Jeremy Keith Williamson; three brother-in-laws, Jack Brooks, Chester Jones and Carroll Young; and his wonderful in-laws, Claude and Willie Young.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-nine years, Aletha Kay Young Williamson; two sons, Ted Williamson and Kelly Williamson and wife, LouAnn all of Stamps, AR; two brothers, Bob Williamson and wife, Betty of Midland, TX and James (Tadpole) Williamson and wife, Mary Ruth of Stamps, AR; three sisters, Clara Brooks of Las Vegas, NV, Dot Jones of Magnolia, AR and Barbara Ann Keith and husband, Dewayne of Haughton, LA; daughter-in-law, Keitha Williamson Turner of Hot Springs, AR; six grandchildren, Brandon Williamson; Jason Williamson and wife, Karen; Kadie Clark and husband, Cody; Kaycee Yates and husband, Curt; DeeAnn Tinkle and husband, Jason and Krista Hamlin and husband, Jason; seven great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 20, 2014, at Lakeside Cemetery in Stamps, AR, with Bro. Mike Turner officiating under the direction of Smith Funeral Homes of Stamps, AR. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 19, 2014, at the Smith Funeral Home in Stamps.
