Ms. Elizabeth Hughey, 93, of Stephens, AR. passed away May 5th at her home.
She was born September 7, 1921 in Rosston, AR to Tommy and Rosie Jackson.
She found the Lord at a young age and united with the Harrison Chapel Baptist Church in Rosston, AR., remaining a member until she was called into eternity.
She married Richard Hughey November 19, 1941 and they were blessed with eight children. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, shopping at Wal-Mart, and spending time with her grandchildren.
She's preceded in death by her parents, her husband Richard Hughey, two sons; Carger and James Otis Hughey. Three brothers; Haynie, James, and T.J. Jackson. One sister; Ollie Jackson, two grandchildren; Brenda Hamilton, and Jason Edwards.
Survivors include: four daughters; Mrs. Charlene (Harrison) Dixon of Rosston, Mrs. Doris Frazier, Mrs. Janet (Andrew) Pitts, Mrs. Rose (Paul) Kelly all of Stephens, AR. One reared granddaughter; Ms. Ranea Hughey of Stephens, AR. and one God daughter; Ms. Minnie Faye Beasley of Dallas, TX. Two sons; Charles (Opal) Hughey and Ronnie (Chavela) Hughey both of Stephens, AR. Two God sons; Bernard (Shelia) Hubbard of Detroit, MI. and R.V. Haynie of Rockford, IL. A daughter-in-law; Mrs. Roxie Ann Hughey, one sister-in-law; Mrs. Gladys Hughey of Stephens, AR. One aunt; Alberta Williams of Pine Bluff, AR. (37) grandchildren, (69) great-grandchildren, (32) great great-grandchildren, (1) great great great-Grandchild, a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 15th, at 1:p.m. at Harrison Chapel Baptist Church in Rosston, AR. With burial to follow in the church Cemetery . Under the direction of Smith Funeral Home, Inc. of Stamps, AR. Officiating will be Rev. Victor Morgan.
