Elizabeth Juanita "Nita" Basinger Bright Coffee, 83, of Springhill, Louisiana, passed away on May 22, 2026. Nita was born on July 2, 1942, to Murphy and Evelyn Basinger. She loved life in general and people loved her back. When  ask what Nita enjoyed in life, the first response that comes to mind is people, she was truly a people person. She enjoyed traveling when on the road with Chief. The sites and people along the way always put a smile on her face as well as in her heart. Nita enjoyed doing word searches and spending time with her special buddy by her side, Barney, her dog that is. Nita was a member of Word of Light Faith Ministry in Springhill, Louisiana.

Left to carry the legacy of Nita are her spouse, Weldon Lowell "Chief" Coffee; sons, Jerry Ted (Dee Dee) Bright of Detriot, TX and Phillip (Shannon) Bates of Durham, NC; daughter, Karen Anita Stephens of Springhill, LA; grandchildren, Ethan Carter Bright, Garon Hignight, Courtney Lynn Modisette, Ashley Beavers, Penny Dougherty, Reiny Huynh, Hali Ratliff and nine bonus grands; nineteen great grands; special friends Ronnie Smith, Mark Farrington, Gayle Bailey and Ashley Whittington; and a host of other friends and extended family.

Preceding Nita in death was her parents; one sister, special cousin, Rose Mary Bailey; and granddaughter, Bayleigh Danielle Bright.

Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at 2:00 pm at Springhill Cemetery, Springhill, LA. with Bro. Gladney Hunt and Bro. Kenny Litton officiating.

Services are under the direction of A O Smith Funeral Home, Stamps, Arkansas.
