Ernest Monroe Ray, age 73, of Lewisville, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, August 5, 2018 in Texarkana, Arkansas.
Mr. Ray was born July 27, 1945 in Knobel, Arkansas to William and Estelene (Brown) Ray. He was a farmer.
Mr. Ray was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Joan Ray; a son, Ernest Ray, Jr: a brother, Taylor Ray; and a sister, Geraldine Choate.
He is survived by daughters, Lisa Gale Ray, of Lewisville, AR, and Christina Herman and husband, Mark, of, Lewisville, AR; brothers, Charles Ray, and Wife , Toni of Lewisville, AR, Clay Ray, and wife, Bertha, of Whitney, TX, and Wade Ray, and April Hamilton of Willisville, AR; and sisters, Pauline Payne, of Knobel, AR, Rose Fox, and husband, Joe of Knobel, AR, and Lola Ray of Glenrose, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 3:00pm, Wednesday, August 8, 2018, at Smith Funeral Home Chapel, on Thomas Street, in Stamps, AR, with Bro. Bruce Alford officiating. Interment will follow at Wilson Cemetery in Lewisville, AR. Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 7, 2018, from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Stamps, AR.
Honoring Mr. Ray as his pallbearers are Clay Ray, Charles Ray, Micheal Ray, Chuck Ray, Jimmy Andrews, and Dale Gibson.
