Evelyn Maydell Rogers, age 96 of Stamps, Arkansas passed away Sunday, February 15, 2015 at Homestead Manor Nursing Home. She was born on May 16, 1918, in Stamps to Clarence and Evie Andrews Knighton. The family would like to thank the staff of Homestead Manor and Serenity Hospice for all the care they have shown.

Mrs. Rogers was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ray Rogers and a daughter, Jeanette Rogers.

She is survived by three sons, Doyle Rogers and wife Joy, Edwin Rogers and wife Mary Joe, and Jerry Rogers all of Stamps; ten grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren; four sisters, Erma Aldridge, Nada Clements, Jean Young, and Ola Hooper; sister-in-law, Joyce Knighton; special friend Rita Hunter and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Adam Rogers and Bro. Mickey May officiating. Interment will follow at Sardis Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm Tuesday, February 17, 2015.
