Fern J. Irwin, 85, of Walker Creek, Arkansas, passed away on Sunday, September 29, 2024. Fern was born to Thomas and Florence Jester on August 7, 1939, in Springhill, Louisiana. Fern was a very giving soul that loved her family and her church family. She was known for taking care of family members in times of need. Fern would cook wonderful meals during the holiday seasons that her family enjoyed immensely.

Preceded in death by her parents, Red and Florence Jester; her son, Stan Silvers; one brother and two sisters.

Carrying on Fern's legacy is her beloved spouse, Don Irwin of Walker Creek, Arkansas; daughter, Patsy Irwin of Walker Creek, Arkansas; grandchildren and their spouses, David Silvers, Katie Fryer, Justin Scroggs and Heather Roberts; and numerous great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, friends and family.

Pallbearers will be Eric Fryer, David Silver, Justin Scroggs, Tom Pickett, Earl Graves, and Scott Krueger.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at the Forest Grove Missionary Baptist Church, in Walker Creek, Arkansas with Brother Joseph Stacks officiating. It was Ms. Fern's wishes that after her demise, no viewing to take place and her casket is to remain closed during services. Interment will follow the service at Forest Grove Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.  Funeral Services are under the direction of A O Smith Funeral Home, Stamps, Arkansas.
