Florine Vickers Powell, 85 of Taylor, Arkansas passed away Thursday, November 11, 2021 at her home. She was born February 19, 1936 in Stamps, Arkansas to Kermit and Ruby Wheelington. She was a member of the Butler Street Church of Christ. She enjoyed working in her flower beds and taking care of and playing with her grandchildren.

Florine was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Doyle Vickers. One sister, Estelle Reeves. One son, Kevin Powell. One grandson Cody Taylor and her mother in law and father-in-law, Albert and Vesta Powell.

She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Joe Powell of Taylor, AR. Four daughters, Kathy Buehlar and husband Terry of Stamps, AR., Tawnya Souter of Springhill, LA., Robin Wynn and husband Jeremie of Taylor, AR., and Crystal Lewis and husband Jason of Shongaloo, LA. Two sons, Terry Vickers and wife Margie of Stamps, AR. and Matthew Powell and wife Amy of Cullen, LA. One sister Verta Byrd of Magnolia, AR. 24 Grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers will include, Dustin McMurrough, Austin Buehlar, Dylan Lewis, Devin Nix, Kevin Nix, Bruce Shelton.

Honorary pallbearer: Don Nix, Greg Shelton and James Clark

Graveside services will be held on Sunday, November 14, 2021 at 2:00P.M at Sardis Cemetery in Stamps, AR with Mike Vickers officiating, under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.  Visitation will be Saturday, November 13, 2021 at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Taylor, AR. from 6:00P.M.-8:00P.M.
