Floyd Ray "Butch" Ruby, age 71, of Stamps, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, February 27, 2014, in Houston, Texas at MD Anderson Medical Center. Mr. Ruby was born May 22, 1942, to Floyd and Louisa Ruby of Grand Junction, Colorado. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Stamps, AR and was employed by Arnold Baker Chevrolet in Magnolia, AR.
Mr. Ruby was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Frankie Ruby; and two half-sisters, Billy Wetzel and Bobby Sines.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-one years, Nancy Ruby of Stamps, AR; two sons, Bo Ruby and wife, Tracy of LaJunta, CO, and Doug Ruby and wife, Terry of Magnolia, AR; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; four sisters, Pat Deniston and husband, Marty of Longmont, CO; Sherry Brouqusault of Fruita, CO; Linda Ward and husband, Frank of Pueblo, CO; and Mary Ridenour and husband, Edwin of Collbran, CO; and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, March 7, 2014, at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Stamps, AR with Bro. Mike Turner officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 pm Thursday, March 6, 2014, at the Smith Funeral Home in Stamps.
