Gary Thomas Dean, Sr., age 81 of Stamps, Arkansas, passed away Monday July 30, 2018. Mr. Dean was born November 16, 1936 in Waldo, Arkansas to Thomas Madison and Ona Bell Dean. He was a member of Mt. Nebo Baptist Church where he taught Sunday School and was the Sunday School Director and Charter Member of the Stamps Lion Club. Mr. Dean was a United States Air Force Veteran.

Mr. Dean was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Peggy Walker; and six brothers, Larry Dean, Richard Dean, Paul Dean, Jerry Dean, Wayne Dean and Charles Dean.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Dean of Stamps, AR; two sons, Gary Thomas Dean, Jr. (Tommy) and wife, Connie of Stamps, AR; and Scott Dean and wife, Valerie of Foley, AL; two daughters, Annette Fallin and husband, Pat of Stamps, AR; and Jennifer Dean of Lowell, AR; one sister, Mary Jo Sutton of Camden, AR; three grandsons, Dusty Dean of Hot Springs, AR; Patrick Dean and wife, Ashley of Montgomery, AL; and Brad Fallin of Stamps, AR; five granddaughters, Ashley Franklin and husband, Steven of Texarkana, AR; Amanda Welsh and husband, Kevin of Foley, AL; Jodie Westfall and husband, Aaron of Magnolia, AR; Kassie Ainsworth of Stamps, AR; and Karsyn Dean also of Stamps; four great grandsons, Elijah Dean, Braxton Welsh, Preston Franklin and Tucker Redfearn; and ten great granddaughters, Lynley Dean, Brantlee Westfall, Trystan Westfall, Haisley Dean, Paityn Franklin, Kennedy Welsh, Hadley Ann Dean, Camryn Jo Westfall, Everly Dean and Kori Bea Redfearn.

Honoring Mr. Dean as pallbearers will be Dusty Dean, Patrick Dean, Brad Fallin, Kevin Welsh, Aaron Westfall, Steven Franklin and Ben Redfearn.

Funeral Services will be held at 10am Saturday, August 4, 2018 at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Thomas Street, in Stamps, AR with Bro. Bruce Porter and Bro. Lane Garner officiating. A private family burial will follow. Visitation will be held from 9am until service time on Saturday at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel on Thomas Street.
