Obituary

George Edward "Scooter" Cook, age 90 of Lewisville, Arkansas passed away Sunday, March 22, 2015. He was born May 26, 1924 in Ogden, Arkansas to Ida Waldo Cook and Archie Kirk Cook. He was a business owner, millwright at Day and Zimmerman for 30 years, a pizza maker, and a Mason.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Billie Sue Crank.

He is survived by one brother, Archie Dwain Cook; two daughters and a son-in-law, Sandra Haltom and her husband Phillip Haltom and Debbie Nolte all of Texarkana, Grandchildren Angie Barton and her fiance Danny Riley, Brian Nolte and his wife Brett. Great grandchildren Jackson Barton and his wife Ilona, Briley Grace Nolte, and Paiton Aaron. Step-grandchildren Chris Haltom and Johnathan Haltom and his wife Whitney. Step-greatgrandchildren Justice Haltom, William Haltom, Eli Haltom and Emma Haltom.

Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 pm Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at Smith Funeral Home in Stamps. Services will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at the First United Methodist Church in Lewisville, Arkansas with Rev. Ron Eldridge officiating, followed by a graveside service at Wilson Cemetery also in Lewisville under the direction of A.O. Smith Funeral Home .Known and loved by at least four generations of Lewisville Red Devils and Lafayette County Cougars as "Mr. Scooter", he was an icon in the community.
