Gertie Mae Nations, 91, of Taylor, Arkansas passed away at her home on October 2, 2021. Mrs. Nations was born May 11, 1930 in Taylor, Arkansas to John Wesley Umphries and Girtrude Rhae Umphries. She was a member of the State Line Baptist Church, enjoyed fishing and working in her yard.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Doyle Hugh Nations; son, Jerry Wayne Nations; three brothers, and six sisters.
Mrs. Nations is survived by her daughter, Gwen Patrick of Taylor, AR; grandson, Randy Pool of Springhill, LA; granddaughter, Sheri Thomas of Sarepta, LA; great granddaughters, Hannah Berry, Brandi Newton, Elayna Pool, and Jilli Pool; great grandson, Ian Pool; and Great, great, grandson Jasper O'Shea Taylor.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM, Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at State Line Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. John Nations, officiating. Interment will follow at State Line Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at State Line Missionary Baptist Church from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM.
Honoring Mrs. Nations as her Pallbearers are Jerald Nations, Michael Thomas, Larry Pool, Randy Pool, Mike Boyette, And Jim Martin.
