Gertrude Stevens, age 96, of Stamps, AR passed away Sunday, June 25, 2017. Mrs. Stevens was born November 24, 1920 to Callie Hart and Lewis Miller. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and a member of Eastern Star. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, playing Dominoes and Rook.

Mrs. Stevens was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Stevens; and step-father, Lewis Hamilton.

She is survived by two sons, Wayne Stevens and wife Jeannie of Lewisville, AR and Gene Stevens of Taylor, AR; two daughters, Carolyn Grimmett and husband Smead of Stamps, AR and Bobbie Griffin and husband Michael of Houston, TX; seven grandsons, Mark Grimmett (Linda) of Tupelo, MS, Daniel Grimmett (Christy) of Lewisville, AR, Brad Stevens (Angelina) of Texarkana, TX, Chris Stevens of Texarkana, TX, Brady Stevens of Lewisville, AR, Brandon Williamson of Hot Springs, AR, and Jason Williamson (Karen) of Tampa, FL; four granddaughters, Cathy Nolan (Dale) of Lowell, AR, Sharon Lonigro (Mike) of Canyon Lake ,TX, Kerry Weir (Casey) of Texarkana, AR, Kady Clark (Cody) of Hot Springs, AR; 22 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.


Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at 2:00PM at Liberty Baptist Church in Stamps, AR with Bro. William Willis and Bro. Adam Rogers officiating. Interment will follow at the Liberty Cemetery in Stamps, AR under the direction of A.O. Smith Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at 1:00PM until service time at Liberty Baptist Church.
