Obituary

Gloria "Jeanine" Cheatham (Ward) passed away Friday December 20, 2024, at St Vincent North Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas, Surrounded by her family.

Jeanine was born October 6, 1942, in Fordyce, Arkansas, the daughter of Iver Ward and Louise Chapman (Ward).

Jeanine graduated from Stamps High School in 1960 and went on to Texarkana Business School earning a degree in Secretarial Science.

Jeanine married Bryce Cheatham, Jr., on August 31, 1962, at Stamps United Methodist Church.

Jeanine worked as a secretary at Southern Extrusions in Magnolia until 1966 when she became a stay-at-home mom.

Jeanine especially loved sewing, painting, latch hooking, and spending time with her beloved dogs and cat. She especially loved being a seamstress for Lois Jean's in Magnolia.

Jeanine was a member of Central Baptist Church in Magnolia.

Remaining to cherish Jeanine's memory are spouse, Bryce; children, Son Jeff (Mylinda) Cheatham of Benton, Arkansas and daughter Jill Gagnon of Eau Claire, Wisconsin; sister Lenora Reese, brother William Ward; grandchildren, Alyssa (Tad) Taylor of Tucson, Arizonia, Jarod Barnett of Glenwood, Arkansas and Braden Barnett of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Bryce (Rhyan) Butler of Dallas, Texas, McKenzie (Trey) Boettcher of Cadott, Wisconsin, Dustin (Kathleen) Bagwell of Mount Holly, Arkansas; great grandchildren, Dameon Galbraith and Loralie Taylor, Shaye Boettcher, Brock Bagwell and Conner Bagwell.

Preceding Jeanine in death are son-in-law Robert Gagnon, her parents and grandparents, that raised her, Mr. and Mrs. J R Ward. Also, a half-brother Roger Chapman and half-sister, Andrea Chapman and her infant sister Shirley Ward.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, December 27, 2024, at 2:00 pm at A O Smith Funeral Home, Stamps, Arkansas with interment at Lakeside Cemetery, Stamps, Arkansas.  Services are under the direction of A O Smith Funeral Home.

Memorial donations in Jeanine's memory may be directed to the CCAPS in Magnolia.
