Gordon Melvin
Fish
Jul 9, 1947 — Dec 30, 2021
Gordon Melvin Fish, 74 of Walker Creek passed away Thursday. December 30, 2021. He was born July 9, 1947 in Minden, Louisiana to Willie and Kathyrn Ann Pickett Allen. Mr. Fish died peacefully at his home surrounded by his family.
His talent in life was machinery. He could make any piece of machinery work like a charm. He loved hunting, fishing and playing dominos. He enjoyed showing people his skills in the game of dominos and would often tell you which domino you were going to play, before when it was your turn. The one thing he would not do, is tell you where the fish were biting. If you were lucky enough to get his favorite fishing hole, you would probably not find it due to the directions he would give you. "Go down there to the old cypress tree and the floating log." Which left most everyone trying to figure out which cypress tree and which floating log. Mostly, he enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and grandchildren.
Mr. Fish was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Patrice Fish and one brother Jimmy Fish.
He is survived by one sister Vickie Bartley and husband Bobby of Stonewall, LA. One son Michael Fish and wife Tamela of Taylor, AR. One daughter Shannon Fish of Benton, LA. Six grandchildren, Brooke Lemoime, Kaliegh Fish, Hayden Fish, Zac Hoyle, Tanner Hoyle and Shaylee Hoyle. One niece Rene Bartley of Stonewall, LA and a host of friends and Family.
The family would like to express their gratitude and love to Leslie Page and Sheena Randle at Encompass Health for their love, support and exceptional care.
A special thank you to Mike Scott, Jamie Scott, Taylor Fitzgerald and John Pickett for their love and support.
Mikey Whitehead and Chris Cook the family would like to thank you for your kindness and friendship with Mr. Fish and the stories from those adventures.
