G.W. Wheelington was born April 18, 1932, in Stamps, AR, to Clyde and Marie Jones
Wheelington. He was a graduate of Stamps High School and was a United States Army veteran,
serving in the Korean Conflict. G.W. was a 32nd Degree Shriner and 50-year member of Jacob
Brump Masonic Lodge. He was the owner of Wheelington Concrete and a member of Greenlee
Baptist Church in Pine Bluff. In his spare time, G.W. loved spending time outdoors and was an
avid hunter and fisherman.

G.W. passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2024, at the age of 92. He was preceded in death by his
parents.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy "Dot" Barbaree Wheelington, whom he married on June 3,
1955, in Buckner, AR. Also left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Rhonda Dunavant and
her husband, Harry, of Little Rock, and his brother, Leroy Wheelington and his wife, Corrine of
Texarkana, AR, as well as a number of nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Visitation will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, July 25, 2024, in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson and Son,

Pine Bluff, AR followed by funeral services at 10:30 A.M., conducted by Rev. James Watson.

Burial will be at 2:00 P.M. in Sardis Cemetery, Stamps, AR, with Military Honors
