Hazel Ruth Stevens, age 89, of Stamps, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2015. Mrs. Stevens was born October 6, 1925 in Stamps to Fred O. and Mallie Cheatham Glass. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Stamps, Arkansas.

Mrs. Stevens was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jim H. Stevens, Sr.; step daughter, Dorothy Donahoe; brother, Leo Glass; and sister, Vernell McEachern.

She is survived by her son, Jim H. Stevens, Jr. of Springhill, LA; three grandchildren, Laura Stevens of Camden, AR, Lisa O'Hara of Camden, AR and Jim H. "Trey" Stevens III of Bussey, AR; and five great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, January 8, 2015 at Liberty Baptist Church in Stamps, AR with Rev. William Willis officiating. Interment will follow at Liberty Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Homes of Stamps, AR. Visitation will be held from 1:30-2:30 p.m. Thursday at the church.
